Henna Tattoo | Mehndi Art, The Quick, Easy And Safe Way
Mehndi, the art of decorating the body with henna is an ancient form of art that has been practiced for thousands of years in India, Africa and the Middle East. This form of art was introduced to the West in the 1990s and has since attracted the attention and admiration of thousands of people of all ages. It’s not uncommon to see henna tattoo booths in public places such as the beach, parks, festivals, or even at the mall. Henna tattoos are popular because they’re fun and temporary. Unfortunately there are risks involved with getting a tattoo at a public place. Sometimes inexperienced henna artists can’t tell the difference between natural henna and chemically altered henna. Using the latter can cause severe skin problems including permanent scarring. Luckily there’s an alternative.
Safe And Natural Henna Tattoo Kits
One of the best ways to ensure that you won’t have any adverse reactions to your henna design is to create it using a 100% natural and if possible organic henna tattoo kit. There are plenty of high quality easy-to-use kits in the market, but there are also some very low quality ones, so do some research before purchasing one. Stay away from anything labeled as already-mixed henna paste. One of the qualities of henna is that it loses its staining power three days after you mix it so if you’re buying ready-to-use henna paste, most likely it’s been altered with some kind of chemical dye. Also stay away from anything labeled as “black henna.” Natural henna does not stain black, it only stains brown and anything advertised as black henna has a very high probability of containing the extremely harmful chemical para-phenylenediamine (PPD). There’s a natural alternative for black temporary tattoos and it’s called jagua. Jagua kits are made with the extract of the edible fruit jagua and other natural ingredients. These kits are safe to use.
Easy-to-Use Henna Tattoo Art Kits
Temporary henna tattoo kits come in various forms. Some come with everything you need and are very easy to use, while others require you to get additional ingredients and are much more complicated. Henna City’s Henna Tattoo kit is one of the easiest to use kits on the market. It comes with 100% organic henna powder and 100% natural mixing solution. All you need to do is mix the two together, let the paste sit for a couple of hours and you’re ready to start creating beautiful henna designs. The kit also comes with a professional applicator bottle with three different size tips and stencil transfers. Visit our video page for demonstration video on the kit.
