How to Care For Your Henna Tattoo

Once you have safely and successfully put on a Mehndi tattoo, the next thing to do is to keep it from fading too quickly. Follow these tips to prolong the lifetime of your tattoo.

  • 1. Try not to get the design area wet for 12-24 hours
  • 2. Be patient, the brown color of henna will take 24-48 hours to fully develop
  • 3. Avoid harsh chemicals such as soap or chlorine
  • 4. When showering don’t scrub the design and when drying dab with a towel
  • 5. If swimming in the ocean or chlorinated pool apply some Vaseline over design before going in the water
